Legend
- Blue = triage bucket
- White = dev bucket
- Green = test bucket
Process
- Enter new bugs in Mantis. New bugs are not assigned to anyone and have no assigned release.
- Triage reviews new bugs and does one of the following:
- Resolve the bug immediately.
- Assign bug to a tester for additional information.
- Assign bug to a developer to be fixed or investigated.
- Ask for feedback from the reporter (leaves as unassigned)
- Park the bug in the "future" bucket for a later release.
- Developers work on assigned bugs:
- If a bug is marked as "investigate", then the bug needs to be assigned back to the "Triage" after requested information has been collected.
- Otherwise, the bug needs to be resolved once a fix is checked in.
- Testers answer questions and assign the bug back to "Triage".
- Triage reviews all bugs assigned to it similar to step #2.
- When a new release is being planned, Triage reviews all bugs marked as "future" and assigns a release for those that need to be fixed.
General Rules
- New bugs should never have a release assigned.
- Developers should have no bugs that have an unassigned release or future release.

Color coded the boxes by who they are assigned to:
* blue = triage
* green = test
* white = dev
* grey = nobody
Added "Resolved" bucket since devs shouldn't close bugs, testers should. Also, grouped together all triage related buckets to be make it clearer what triage covers. edited 15:35, 1 Jul 2009
