Introduction
Olympic is the release name for MindTouch which led to the following packages: MindTouch Core (10.0.0), MindTouch Platform v.10, and MindTouch 2010. This release's focus was around the experience of three primary tasks encountered during the lifecycle of stategic content: authoring, discovery, and curation.
Authoring for end-users has been simplified with the addition of the significantly upgraded standards-compliant WYSIWYG editor, the new page gallery template selector, and content templates provided by Intelligent Documentation Framework. End-users can also submit their feedback for pages through community scoring - users can rate pages and submit comments on how to improve the quality of a given page.
Discovery has been marked with adaptive search - a new search algorithm which learns from your community's interaction with your content and builds collective intelligence. Community activities like rating pages and interacting with search results factor into search relevance.
Curation analytics provides great insight into how strategic content is performing on your site. The community scoring report report tells you strategic content that is underperforming in the eyes of your community. The aging report analyzes your content by time of last edit. As your site ages, this report highlights pages that haven't been updated in a long time. Search reporting helps you understand what search queries and terms are being executed on your site, thus ensuring you have proper strategic content coverage.

Features
WYSIWYG Editor - CKEditor 3.0
After adding experimental support for CKeditor 3.0 in Noatak, we've enabled it as the default editor. Looking at common editing tasks, we went through multiple design iterations to get to the final editor toolbar, trying to balance the need for more functionality without being too overwhelming. As is the case with previous releases, our default editor configuration can be entirely customized to suit your needs.
Title/URL Management
Managing titles and URLs for SEO purposes (as well as ordering in hierarchies) has been dramatically rebuilt from the ground-up to address the main use cases. With ease, you can now decouple URLs from titles, or choose to keep them in sync.
Community scoring
On any given page, users can rate a page's quality - these values are provided in aggregate to other readers to give an indication of the page's quality. If a user rates a page negatively, they will be prompted to provide feedback on how to improve the page. These ratings are fed into curation analytics (specifically the community scoring report). The computed rating value on a page is also used in the new adaptive search to lend additional weighting to high-quality pages.
Page Gallery
When creating new pages, users may now use the page gallery to select from a series of page templates that will prefill the contents - this will make it easier for documents to follow the same structure throughout your site.
Adaptive Search
The search experience has been largely simplified for end-users, with a UI refresh of the results set to be easier to read. The adaptive search engine algorithm, new to Olympic, factors in community scoring (page rating) and interactions with the results set (which results are clicked) to affect the weighting of results.
Community Scoring (Page Rating)
Users can now indicate their opinions about the quality of a page through a simple up/down voting mechanism. These votes are aggregated and displayed to users to help them understand the value of a page.
Curation Analytics
Curation analytics encompasses three reports: community scoring, aging, and search reporting. The community scoring report aggregates page ratings across the site and shows a single dashboard view of a visual distribution of quality, high-level metrics of your site, and a tabular view to drill down into pages and their ratings. The aging reports visualize the time since the last edited date for all pages - use this to discover pages which need to be updated. Lastly, the search reporting shows all search queries and which results users clicked through.
Personal Dashboards
The default user page now shows a dashboard of user activity (built on top of the new user dashboard framework) to simplify discovery of relevant information for the user. The dashboard includes integration with the comment activity stream, which allows a user to track all comments they've made in the system, as well as comments which have been directed at that user (using "@username" in comments).
Template Updater
MindTouch now has a package updater service, which will take a MindTouch package (as generated from the import/export tool) and import a series of MindTouch pages or templates (which include files, tags, and property metadata) into your install. This is the delivery mechanism used to install and update the curation analytics, which are written entirely in DekiScript.
Tagging
The tagging experience has received a minor polish to improve the experience of adding and removing tags.

Note: On Linux installs, you must be running at least Mono 2.4.2 to run Olympic. Be sure you update Mono (Debian, CentOS) before upgrading MindTouch!

Regarding the new Page Titles and paths - a reference is made to Sorting (in navigation pane) i.e. that it is a separate issue (I agree!) Will the sorting option be available in Olympic? I sure hope so, because changing a Page name to enforce a custom sort order is a ...ahem 'non' solution! :)
