  2. 2. Configure exim4

Do the following steps to enabled the exim4 MTA (Mail Transport Agent) in Debian.  This will allow your wiki to send out emails when new users are created.

NOTE: This does not apply to the 9.0.x series.

Install exim4

apt-get install exim4
 

 

Configure exim4

dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config

Complete the steps using the following settings:

I'm not sure what to enter for the recipent domains and relay mail settings and so I left these fields blank (and email does not work)? What do i need to put in these fields - we have an exchange server for email here.

this how2 does not apply to 9.0.x anymore. My 9.0.2 wiki mentions I have to edit an XML file in order to get it to work
