The attachment block list is configured by

files/blocked-extensions

By default this is set to: "exe, vbs, scr, reg, bat, com"

You may modify this list by going into Deki Wiki control panel -> Configuration.

Note: The configuration screen is introduced in Hayes+ 1.8.2. For previous versions, you'll need to make a direct database update into the Config table and restart dekihost.

When I updated this setting, the resulting "success" message stated some settings required a restart of the Deki host. At least for the "files/blocked-extensions" settings, I found this warning did not apply.

<soapbox>My company's developers code this same sort of ambiguous behavior when changing settings. Why cannot the architecture/design of the software be such that a table exists listing all the settings, and the developer as part of creating the new setting must indicate whether restart is required or not. Then customer can be told without any questions whether they have to restart the host or not.
As is, since I do not know if a restart is necessary or not, I have to test the resulting changes, or at worst, restart the server just to be sure. This is not good software design if you are aiming for a good user experience!
