Users accessing MindTouch without an account take the permissions of the built in 'Anonymous' user. This guide describes how to enable/disable the ability for anonymous users to create their own account as well as how to configure access permissions for Anonymous users.

Enable or disable the anonymous user

Anonymous user account creation allows anyone to visit the wiki and create their own user account.  This feature has been turned off by default.  To re-enable it:

1.  Open your wiki and select Tools->Control Panel (administrator access is required).

Make my site content unavailable to anonymous users

Go to Control Panel -> User Management. Edit the Anonymous user and set the role to None. This will force users to login before seeing any content. Note that in the security dialog you may explicitly give access to the anonymous user.
