    Authorization

    1.  You can log in to system using existed login and password (click button “Log in”);

    2.  You can create new account (click button “Register”);

    3.  You can log out by clicking button “Log out”;

    4.  If you forgot your password you can get the new one using “Forgot password?”  link;

    Control Panel

    1.  If you have the admin’s rights you have access to the Control Panel;

    2.  You can change the MindTouch view using your own CSS, HTML and changing logos and skins;

    3.  Opening Dashboard you can see introductory and supporting  information, technical news and demo videos;

    4.  Users & Groups

    a. You can add new users and activate/deactivate existed users;

    b. You can create/delete  groups;

    c. You can add users to groups;

    d. You can create a new role and change properties;

    e. You can change user’s roles;

    f.  You can ban users and edit bans;

    5.  Maintenance & History

    a. You can delete pages and restore them;

    b. You can delete/restore files attached to pages;

    c. You can delete useless files permanently;

    d. If your search index becomes outdated, you can rebuild it;

    e. You can manually update MindTouch packages using “Force Reimport” button;

    6.  System Settings

    a. You can activate your MindTouch or read about your current license using “Product Activation” tab;

    b. You can set a site’s name using the corresponding field;

    c. You can choose the time zone from the drop-down list;

    d. You can set the site’s language choosing it from the drop-down list;

    e. You can allow for individual pages to be associated with specific languages (use the field “Polyglot  Languages” for it);

    f. You can create a list of words not allowed in page content;

    g. You can add your scripts and extensions using the tab “Extension”;

    h. You can add/restart/delete authentication services;

    i. Use  Google Analytics to track and monitor traffic on your wiki site;

    j. You can choose an editor tool bar set;

    Editor

    1.  You can edit non-Special pages or New Pages using Editor (Editor opens after button “Edit” clicking);

    2.  You can switch to source mode you like (View | Source);

    3.  You can insert different content to your page (tables, images, media, extensions, links);

    4.  You can edit properties of this content using corresponding menus and dialogs;

    5.  If you add table to the text, you can insert images into the fields of that table;

    6.  You can format text using Editor’s tools;

    7.  You can find and replace text blocks in the editing page’s text;

    8.  You can add to your page such elements as checkboxes, radio buttons, text fields, etc.;

    9.  You can add Java Scripts to the page (if you have permission for the unsafe content);

    10. You can add DekiScripts to your page and they runs correctly; 

    9.  You can cancel all changes if necessary;

     

    Main Menu

    1.  You can open your home page clicking “My Page” link;

    2.  Link “Help” provides you  supporting information;

    3.  “Tools” link opens instrumental menu;

    4.  You can see pages, you want to watch, using “Tools | Watched Pages” link;

    5.  You can add/delete pages to your watched pages list using “Watched Pages” link;

    6.  “Tools | Contributions” link opens page containing list of all pages that the current user has created or modified;

    7.  You can change your email address using corresponding field in “Tools | My Preferences”;

    8.  You can change your password in “Tools | My Preferences” tab;

    9.  You can set your language and time zone using “Tools | My Preferences” tab;

    10. “Tools | Popular pages” opens page with list of most popular pages;

    11. You can see the pages, which were modified some time ago, using “Recent Changes” tab;

    12. You can subscribe to the feed you like, using “Tools | RSS Feeds” link;

    13. “Tools | Users” opens page with list of all Mindtouch users;

    14. “Tools | Templates” opens page with templates;

    15. “Tools | Site map” opens page with hierarchical presentation of site structure;

    16. "Tools | Desktop Suite" opens  page of Desktop Suite in MindTouch web site;

    NAV Pane

    1.  NAV Pane is displayed in the left part of each page;

    2.  NAV Pane displays name of the Home page and subpages of this page;

    3.  If page contents subpages, it displays in NAV Panel with special icon (usually, triangle);

    4.  You can see less-deep level  pages clicking on the main page;

    Pages

    1.  You can attach different files to your page, such as images, documents, media, etc;

    2.  You can use Classic file uploader or Flash uploader;

    3.  You can specify the description of attachment before uploading;

    4.  Click on image opens image viewer;

    5.  Link “Actions” near the attached file contains links to the actions you can do with attached files;

    6.  You can edit description for your attachment;

    7.  You can move your attachment to the another place;

    8.  You can delete your attachment;

    9.  You can comment pages using “Add comment” field;

    10. You can edit your comment;

    11. You can delete your comment;

    12. If you have admin’s right, you can delete other user’s comments;

    13. You can vote for any page as you like;

    14. You can cancel the vote if you change your mind;

    15. You can update attached files by uploading new versions;

    16. You can find pages and attached images using MindTouch’s search;

    17. Using “More | Email link” link you can send the link for any page to any mail;

    18. You can add a Talk page for the current page;

    19. You can move current page to another place;

    20. You can delete current page;

    21. You can add/delete tags to the pages;

    22. You can set access permission  for the pages;
