    Overview

In order facilitate certain functionality, a wiki clipboard could be useful. This is just a personal crackpot idea, not really sure if it would be as awesome as I think. But in essence, the clipboard would allow users to copy, cut, and paste entire wiki pages. So to move a page, a user would cut it then paste it. To duplicate a page a user would copy it and the paste it. It's just that easy.

    Implementation

Actions would be viewable on a special:clipboard page. It would list all the pages that you currently have cut or copied. Then when you go to another page and choose paste, the clipboard is pulled up and you select what to paste. Nothing is ever actually done until the paste operation is performed. If user A cuts a page, user B can still view the "cut" page.

This sounds pretty awesome to me--I'm in a situation that requires me to copy pretty large trees, and the page-by-page creation and source copy technique is well-nigh prohibitive.
