Content Moderation is rapidly becoming a crucial tool for many MindTouch users and as their dependency increases so does the complexity of their usage. While our current implementation of content moderation is sufficient for many customers, it has numerous limitations that prohibit it from becoming a one-size-fits-all solution and actually void the value proposition. Ultimately, using content moderation on a large or diverse site can cause confusion and may have privacy concerns due to the shared drafts root.
This functional spec is intended to address the needs of current Content Moderation users who are typically large scale MindTouch customers. Additionally, this issue has been mentioned by numerous prospective MindTouch customers and many of these changes would generate even more demand.
This is a commercial only feature and has proven its value.
The user interaction with this feature should be as seemless as possible. Allow moderators to moderate only specific hierarchies.
Currently the content moderation process is convoluted and requires the introduction of many new buttons. The goal is to simplify this process. Moving drafts closer to the core could help with many of the difficulties of the drafts functionality. Additional tie-ins with the notifications service can leverage existing features to augment the drafting features.
