With MindTouch, users have the ability to specify templates that can be selected when creating a new page. This makes it easier to maintain structure when users are adding content to MindTouch.
Go to http://yoursite/Template: and then click on New Page. In order for the page to be considered as a Template within MindTouch you need to keep Template: in the name of the page. Give the Template a name, add some content and then save the page. In this example the name of the Template is A Template which can be seen here:

Now that you have created the Template, click on the Edit details link to the right of the Template name. This will load the following dialog:

1) Displays the name of the Template. You can change the name of the Template here and it will change the URL and title for the Template.
2) This Description is surfaced through the New Page Dialog.
3) Here is where you specify the Type of the page to New Page in order for it to be added to the New Page dialog. The Default Type will allow the Template to be invoked from the insert templates. If you specify Content for the Template Type it will then change the Insert Template dialog to only show the Content Templates and to not show Default or New Page templates in the Insert Template dialog. Note that the Insert Template dialog is invoked within the MindTouch Editor.
4) Here you can specify if the Templates are unique to a specific language within MindTouch.
5) Once you have made all of the changes then you can click Update Template Properties.
Now that the Template has been added and marked as New Page for the Type it will show up in the New Page Dialog when a User hit New Page in MindTouch as seen here:

Select the Template and then click Create new page and the Template will be inserted into the page.
