Upgrade your version of Mono to be compatible with MindTouch
After completing this tutorial you will have installed/Upgraded Mono
Here is an overview on how you can upgrade your Mono installation to 2.4.3.
Open YAST and click on Installation Source:

Select HTTP from the list of Media Types and then click Next:

Add the following information:
server name: ftp.novell.com
directory on server: /pub/mono/download-2.4/SLE_10/
Keep the Anonymous checkbox checked
You can see this information filled out as follows:

Next click OK and the repo will be added to your server. Next open a terminal and run the following command:
zypper install mono-core
This will then prompt you if you want to uninstall the default Mono and install 2.4.3.1
Say yes to this and Mono will be installed

Once the installation finishes it will return you to a command prompt where you can verify that the correct version of Mono is installed by running the following command:
mono --version
It should return the following:
SLES10SP2:~ # mono --version Mono JIT compiler version 2.4.3.1 (tarball Mon Dec 28 20:19:31 UTC 2009) Copyright (C) 2002-2008 Novell, Inc and Contributors. www.mono-project.com TLS: __thread GC: Included Boehm (with typed GC) SIGSEGV: altstack Notifications: epoll Architecture: x86 Disabled: none
After upgrading your Mono version make sure your MindTouch install is running the current version too. If not, upgrade MindTouch.
