Attachment contents aren't being searched

Overview

If you are running a MindTouch VMware installation and you are encountering issues with indexing attachments, then follow the instructions below

Symptoms

Files attached to pages aren't indexed

Resolution

Login to the MindTouch console and run the following commands

apt-get update
apt-get install wv unzip html2text poppler-utils ppthtml sun-java5-jre

After that, rebuild the search index and your attachments should be surfacing.
