    Overview

When viewing certain pages, you may see error messages related to a required site license or missing component.

    Symptoms

Dekiscript dependencies may show an error message similar to the following:

    Resolution

There are three primary classes of errors - the error message will explain the source of the problem.

    1. License Errors: These appear when the required product license was not found, or has expired. For example, you may be on a MindTouch Core installation, but the page requires MindTouch 2010. Resolution: upgrade the product license for your installation.

    2. Permission Errors: Certain pages may be restricted to admins only. Resolution: Log into the site with an administrator account.

    3. Component Errors: Certain components or capabilities may not be available, as detailed in the error message. Resolution: ensure the necessary services and capabilities are licensed, and ensure the component is installed and running in the control panel.

Speak English and maybe I could get something from it. What is an Activity Stream component?
    Posted 12:40, 14 Mar 2011
@CanucklyOne The ActivityStream component is an extension that allows you to message users within the product. If you go into the Control Panel -> Extensions and restart the ActivityStream extension the error will go away, provided you have a commercial license that enables the ActivityStream
