Manual Upgrade
The steps below detail how to perform a manual upgrade of your MindTouch MSI. This may be necessary for example if you are upgrading from MindTouch 8.08.1a or lower.
Backup Data
See Backup MindTouch for step-by-step instructions on how to backup your database and file attachments. You will also want to backup the following files:
C:\Program Files\MindTouch Deki\MindTouch\api\web.config C:\Program Files\MindTouch Deki\MindTouch\data\servicestate\_x002F_deki\license.xml C:\Program Files\MindTouch Deki\MindTouch\web\LocalSettings.php
Uninstall MindTouch
Unistall the old version of MindTouch via the Start Menu's uninstall link or by Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel.
Install New MindTouch
Download the new version of MindTouch and install to the same folder that your old MindTouch was installed to (ex: C:\Program Files\MindTouch\MindTouch Deki)
Run Database Upgrade Script
Update the database by running the following in the Windows Command line:
cd C:\Program Files\MindTouch\MindTouch Deki\web\maintenance "C:\Program Files\MindTouch\MindTouch Deki\redist\php\php.exe" update-db.php
