Network Configuration (Windows)

Windows 2008 and Vista

Put the following path into an explorer window: Control Panel\Network Connections
Next right click on your Local Area Connection and select Properties. You will then be presented with the following image:

Highligh the Internet Protocol Version 4 and click Properties

Now click the radio button next to Use the following IP address and fill in the Static IP that you want to assign to server along with the Subnet mask, Default Gateway, and the Preferred and Alternate DNS Server. If you don't know these details please contact your Network Manager and get the details.

Here is a sample configuration with all of the information filled in. Once you have the information filled in then click OK

Windows 2003

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Double click on "Network Connections. Then right click on Local Area Connection and click Properties. Next Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties

Now click the radio button next to Use the following IP address and fill in the Static IP that you want to assign to server along with the Subnet mask, Default Gateway, and the Preferred and Alternate DNS Server. If you don't know these details please contact your Network Manager and get the details.

Here is a sample configuration with all of the information filled in. Once you have the information filled in then click OK
