    Upgrading MindTouch (MSI)

    If you are currently running Mindtouch on Windows using the Kilen Woods MSI (version 8.08), and would like to upgrade to the newest version of MindTouch (MindTouch 2009), go through the following steps.

    Backup your MindTouch install

    Upgrade install

    Note: If you are running the MSI version 8.08.1a or earlier, you will need to perform a manual upgrade.

    After backing up your MindTouch install, download MindTouch 2009 and run the MSI. The MSI will launch, and you will see the following screen. Click Next to continue.

    This will show the following screen. Accept the License Agreement, and then click Next:

    This will then show you the following screen that detects if a previous version of MindTouch is installed; to continue with the upgrade, click Upgrade.

    The upgrade process will update the database and update required files.

    Once the update has finished, it will present you with the following screen to show the changes that were made to the database (along with errors, if any). If no errors are shown, then click Next.

    This will then show you the final screen, where you can launch your MindTouch install by clicking Finish:
