    @arnec now if only:
    * archived and one could scroll (MS Live infinite scroll would work here)
    * could be embedded on other sites
    * I suppose the hash tags can also be used for my twitter acct too...or some other mechanism? @twitter should post to my account.

    @aaronf
    it's all currently archived. The template only shows the last 10 or so by default, but the dekiscript function let's you specify how many entries to retrieve, and what offset from the top (i.e. for paging). It's also available as a web service, so infinite scroll and embedded could be done via javascript. For the posting to twitter, we'd have to get twitter integration into Mindtouch 2009 (which i'd suggest as a separate extension so it could be used by a variety of applications.

    @arnec excellent. I did not know that. Isn't it just an http post for the latter?

    @crb did you get your mindtouch care package yet? edited 17:21, 17 May 2009

    @aaronf i haven' looked closely at their REST api, but i would imagine that it requires at the very least an authentication request, which means we need to expose a way in MindTouch to gather the user's credentials, etc. It's not technically difficult, but exposing it to users in a usable fashion is a bit trickier

    @AaronF (if this is how you use messaging.. interesting but somewhat "under-documented" :) No packages have arrived yet, but I am in Montreal for the weekend, back Tuesday.. where should I be expecting it? (Did I leave my work address?)

    @crb this is one way to do msging. "@" a user from any page's comment and said user(s) will receive an eml and a MSG on their timeline. @corey will make sure it is documented for MindTouch 2009. It is not pat of MinTouch Core.The feature is remarkably useful. edited 23:21, 17 May 2009

    @aaronf @crb package was sent on Friday
    Posted 00:01, 18 May 2009
    @AaronF: OK, cool; but the e-mail saying "Someone sent" is odd seeing as you know exactly who sent it :) I like the messaging/timeline stuff, but think it will make the comments section look a little busy over time. http://developer.mindtouch.com/DekiScript/Tutorials/Creating_a_Comment_Timeline_using_the_Deki_Event_Bus suggests it might be possible for an enterprising hacker to build it on top of Deki :)

    @CRB i agree on all these points. From my understanding more polish is being put into the emls, etc in the "m" release. You may want to capture some of your thoughts in the spec section and @royk your input.

    @crb I just read your post: http://forums.developer.mindtouch.com/showthread.php?t=5754 . To be honest, I'm surprised it took this long to happen. It's not a very MindTouch-Friendly environment. Anyway, you might consider using these as resources: http://www.mindtouch.com/Newsroom/News_Archive Moreover, you could cite the fact that much of the docs are written by community contributors....

    @AaronF Woo! Sweet. Right now, I am just working with the team here at Multiphase to get them up to speed on what I've done. After August 13th I'm out of work. :P I am currently building a wiki for my Web-comic Management System (ComicReborn) with Mindtouch Core, so I will have a place to continue testing/playing with dekiscript+Javascript+Whatever-Mindtouch-related-script-you-guys-build-next.
    Bounty away. :D
